Rubicon System

This mysterious system was first mapped in 2703 by Capt. W. H. Mordern. Rubicon is a binary system,  consisting of a red giant (Rubicon Major) and a neutron star (Rubicon Minor) or 'The Dark Sun'

Exploration has been difficult due to the systems proximity to the galactic core and due to the dense electromagnetic field that envelopes the system.

There is only one planet in the system, Griffin which orbits the neutron star at an average distance of 2.5 x 106 km. The orbit is synchronized so one face always faces the Dark Sun and the other faces away and is cold.
